Assign hotkeys to SpeechMike

  • You can use specific hotkeys on your keyboard to control SpeechLive (see Hotkeys for more information).

  • You can assign those hotkeys to the buttons of your SpeechMike, enabling you to control SpeechLive with your SpeechMike.

[Note]Note
  • Using this method could lead to problems if the browser window is not in focus.

  • Do not use this installation method in conjunction with the Philips Device Connector (PDC), since PDC deactivates the usage of hotkeys in SpeechLive.

  • When working with hotkeys the RECORD LED of the SpeechMike will always be lit.

  • Firmware 2.60 or above is required to use hotkeys with your SpeechMike. See Upgrade the firmware of your dictation hardware for more information on how to upgrade your devices.

  1. Download and install the latest version of Speech Control (Philips Device Control Center).

  2. Connect your SpeechMike and start SpeechControl. Your SpeechMike will be displayed as Active device in the header bar.

  3. Go to the Device > Button Configuration tab
