While there is tremendous usefulness in new voice innovations and the industry continues to play a more prominent role in delivering business value, it is important to be aware of the security considerations of quickly growing technologies. A Clark School study at the University of Maryland is one of the first to quantify the near-constant rate of hacker attacks – every 39 seconds on average, affecting one in three Americans every year. Since COVID-19, the US FBI reported a 300% increase in reported cybercrimes.
