You can transcribe dictations right within SpeechLive using the built-in editor. This also enables you to quickly check and correct speech recognition or AI enhanced transcripts.
Navigate to the Dictations tab and choose a dictation in the list. The dictation opens on the right side of the screen.
Click on the Editor
button.
The editor opens on the left and you can start transcribing.
You can change the formatting of the transcript at the top of the editor, e.g. choose a different font, add lists, links or change the alignment of the text.
Click on the full screen button
in the upper right to further enlarge the editor window. This will also automatically open the pop-out player, which you can freely move around (see Use the pop-out player). When using it for the first time, you may need to move the pop-out player window to see all the buttons of the editor.
With the copy function
at the bottom you can quickly copy all the text within the transcript to paste it in other applications.
The print function
allows you to quickly print the transcript.
Use the Export function if you need to export the transcript to a different format and download it.
After you have finished transcribing, click on Save and close to close the editor.
When using the editor in full-screen mode, you can save and finish the dictation directly by clicking the Save & Finish button. To only save the transcript, first exit full-screen mode by clicking on
in the upper right and next click Save and close.
After you’re finished transcribing this dictation, click on the Finish button.
