General

SpeechLive is a dictation and transcription workflow solution. It helps authors go from speech to text quicker than ever before. Whether it is by using speech recognition or a transcriptionist, SpeechLive makes the communication process more effective. SpeechLive is cloud-based and can therefore be used from anywhere and at any time, using a voice recorder or the smartphone app. No complex installation is necessary.

Please sign up for a SpeechLive trial, you can purchase SpeechLive at any time.

Currently, SpeechLive can be only tested and purchased in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA.

Every user requires their own license. As an example: If you have one author and two transcriptionists in your team, you will require 3 licenses.

You can use our mobile phone app to dictate and manage SpeechLive on the go, but you do not have to. You can also use a voice recording device such as the Philips PocketMemo and upload audio files directly into SpeechLive when you get to your computer. You can also use a microphone such as the Philips SpeechMike and dictate directly into SpeechLive and use real-time speech recognition.

To use SpeechLive within your browser, you will need to be connected to the internet. You can however record your audio files using your mobile phone or a voice recorder even when you are offline and upload them to SpeechLive later.

The SpeechLive user interface is available in the following languages English, French and German.

SpeechLive speech recognition is available in English (US, UK and Australia), French (France and Canada), Afrikaans, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish.

Nuance Dragon speech recognition is available in: English, German, French, Dutch, Norwegian and Swedish.

Transcription service is available in: English, French and German.

SpeechLive supports the latest version of Google Chrome on Windows 11/10 and macOS. The SpeechLive app is supported on the two most recent versions of iOS and Android. Nuance Dragon speech recognition is fully supported on Windows, and back-end only on macOS.

Trial

With a free trial you have access to all of the SpeechLive Enterprise plan features. No credit card information is required, you have no obligations and your trial will end automatically after two weeks. The trial includes 200 SpeechLive speech recognition minutes per user. To purchase more minutes, you will have to subscribe to either SpeechLive Pro or Enterprise. To test Nuance Dragon speech recognition, please contact your partner or book a free demo here. The number of users you can add during your trial period is limited to 10.

In a trial account, you can only set up a maximum of 10 users (authors and typists together). You can also only test our SpeechLive speech recognition and you cannot purchase any additional minutes. To test Nuance Dragon speech recognition, please contact your partner or book a free demo here.

Yes, your trial account will automatically expire after 14 days. Your credit card will not be charged unless you actively choose to purchase a SpeechLive subscription.

You will have to first activate a trial. Once you have created an account, you can purchase a full subscription at any time.

No, the trial version is based on the Enterprise plan with all its features. The only limitation is that you can only add up to 10 workflow users and you can only test our SpeechLive speech recognition service, but not purchase any additional minutes. Purchasing & licensing

To purchase SpeechLive please sign up for a free trial first and then you can purchase your subscription under “Account”. If you cannot see the buy option, please contact our certified reseller.

The SpeechLive order process uses secure payment providers (for Europe, South Africa and Australia we use Unzer and for the USA und Canada we use authorize.net) which are run through a certification process. All sensitive payment data transmissions are handled via their secure interface. SpeechLive does not store any payment information.

If you decide to cancel your subscription, you can use SpeechLive until the payment period ends. After this time, you can still access your dictations for one month. After this period, your account, including all dictations and user data, will be deleted.

Security

We will not sell or provide your personal data to third parties, thus preventing them from using your personal data for their own purposes. None of your personal financial information (such as credit card information) will be shared with other parties unless this is needed to handle your order, process our invoice, or prevent or combat fraud. As a European organization, we are legally obliged to comply with the GDPR legislations. Keeping your data safe at all times is one of our utmost priorities. 

You can create backups of all your SpeechLive dictations to recover them at a later point if necessary. 

Additional level of security can be enabled by using the multi-factor authentication. The admin can enforce the extra login. SpeechLive uses a secure authentication service by Microsoft that prevents security risks such as brute force attacks.

Voice recording

You can use our mobile phone app to record and manage SpeechLive on the go. You can also use a voice recorder such as the Philips PocketMemo and upload your audio files to SpeechLive from your computer. You can also dictate directly into SpeechLive using a dictation microphone, such as the Philips SpeechMike.

Transcription service

The account administrator can buy transcription service credits in your SpeechLive account. Every time you use the transcription service, the corresponding amount will automatically be deducted from your balance. An auto-recharge option automatically tops up your transcription service credit when your balance falls below a specified amount. For full cost control, the account administrator can also simply activate a notification which will send them an email when the limit is reached.

Offices for English and French transcription services are located all over the world, in buildings with state-of-the-art security. Depending on your location we strive to transcribe your dictation in the same country as it was generated. German transcription jobs are purely transcribed in Germany. Our service does not forward transcription jobs to homeworkers and does not use speech recognition software.

The finished document is attached to the original dictation in the SpeechLive portal and SpeechExec software. Depending on the SpeechLive notification settings for your user account, the document can additionally be sent to you via email.

Speech recognition

Real-time speech recognition turns your voice into text as you speak - in our SpeechLive editor, the smartphone app or in any desktop software using our Windows desktop app. Alternatively, you can upload an already recorded audio file to SpeechLive to obtain a ready-transcribed document. You have the option between using our SpeechLive speech recognition and the Nuance Dragon speech recognition. Differences between the two are explained here.

Subscribers to the SpeechLive speech recognition can use all speech-to-text functions of SpeechLive: real-time or automated speech-to-text, in the web recorder, the SpeechLive mobile app and the desktop app. However, if speech to text is misused, we will contact you and may deactivate the package for the respective current month. In case of repetition, we are entitled to terminate your SpeechLive contract prematurely. For users of Nuance Dragon speech recognition, there is no upper limit on how many minutes you may use.

SpeechLive users can add speech recognition to their SpeechLive account. You have a choice between SpeechLive speech recognition and Dragon Nuance speech recognition. Dragon Nuance speech recognition gives you the option to add custom words and learns from mistakes as you go along. It also comes with industry-specific vocabulary (Professional, Legal or Law Enforcement). This increases the speech recognition accuracy to an absolute maximum and makes your workflow even faster and smoother.
