Change dictation properties and add attachments

To change the properties of a dictation:

  1. Choose a dictation in the dictation list or create a new dictation.

  2. Tap on Properties at the bottom of the screen to open the dictation properties.

  3. Scroll down and edit the properties as needed

  4. You can for example add a due date for the dictation, or change the priority of your dictation by choosing between Standard, High or Critical.

  5. You can also add dictation properties by scanning a QR code. Click on the scan-qr-code_icon.png icon at the top of the dictation properties to scan a QR code.

    QR codes to fill in dictation properties are provided by your organization or administrator.

  6. Close the dictation properties by taping on the confirm_properties.png icon in the upper left corner.

    X The properties are added to your dictation and you can continue working on it.

Your account administrator can also preset the values for some of the dictation properties. In this case, you can't enter your own values and only choose the ones predefined. See Preset dictation properties for more information.

Add pictures or videos to your dictation

Picture attachments are not available if you're signed in via SpeechExec Enterprise.

  1. Choose a dictation in the dictation list or create a new dictation.

  2. Tap on Properties at the bottom of the screen to open the dictation properties.

  3. Scroll all the way down to the Attachments section.

  4. You can either choose:

    • Photo

      From gallery: Add pictures saved on your device.

      From camera: Take a new picture with the camera of your device. Please allow SpeechLive to access the camera of your device to use this function.

    • Video

      From gallery: Add videos saved on your device.

      From camera: Take a new video with the camera of your device. Please allow SpeechLive to access the camera of your device to use this function.

    • Camera access is necessary so you can take pictures or videos with the SpeechLive Mobile App and add them to your dictations.

    • If you declined the access, you can change this setting manually:

      1. Go to the settings of your device:

        • iOS: Choose SpeechLive in the list.

        • Android: Select the Apps section of the settings and choose SpeechLive in the list.

      2. Allow the app the necessary permissions:

        • iOS: Choose Camera and activate the switch iOS_icon-activate-switch.png to allow the SpeechLive Mobile App access to your camera.

        • Android: Select Permissions, choose Camera and activate the switch iOS_icon-activate-switch.png to allow the SpeechLive Mobile App access to your camera.

  5. Tap the respective button again to add more pictures or videos.

  6. After you're finished adding pictures or videos to your dictation, you can close this screen by taping on the confirm_properties.png icon.

    X The pictures/videos are added to your dictation and you can continue working on it.
