Change the foot control configuration

You can change the configuration of the foot control once it is connected (see Set up your dictation hardware for more information).

In the Dictations tab, click on the hardware button .
Click on the settings icon .
Depending on your device you may need to select your foot control model first. You can find the model number at the bottom of your foot control.

The drop-down selector corresponds with the pedals of your foot control, indicating which function is currently assigned.

Stop	Press the pedal to stop playback .
Play/Pause	Press the pedal once to play back the dictation and again to pause it.
Record/Pause	Press the pedal once to start recording and again to pause recording (only available for authors).
Finish	Finish your dictation (only available for authors).
Rewind	Press (or hold) the pedal to jump back in the dictation. Adjust the winding speed in the web player, if you want to change the amount of seconds you jump back / forward.
Forward	Press (or hold) the pedal to jump forward in the dictation. Adjust the winding speed in the web player, if you want to change the amount of seconds you jump back / forward.
Disabled	Use this option to disable this pedal of your foot control.
