Switch to Event mode

The Event mode is the default out-of-the-box button mode of your Philips dictation hardware. You might have changed the button mode later, the instruction bellow shows you how to change the button mode back to Event mode.

Change the SpeechMike to Event mode
  1. Press EOL and INS/OVR simultaneously for 3 seconds.

  2. All corresponding LEDs will start flashing. You can now change the SpeechMike button mode for 10 seconds.

  3. Press F1 to switch your SpeechMike to Event mode. The F1-LED will light up to confirm the new button mode setting.

[Note]Note
  • You have 10 seconds to select a mode. After 10 seconds, you will automatically exit mode selection and need to restart the mode selection steps.

  • You can always check your current button mode by briefly pressing the End-of-letter/priority (•EoL/••Prio) button and the Insert/overwrite (INS/OVR) button simultaneously.

  • The LED assigned to the current mode shortly lights up orange. If the currently activated mode is the Event mode, the LED of the F1 button lights up orange.

Change the SpeechMike Ambient to Event mode

  1. Connect the SpeechMike Ambient to your computer via the docking station. Alternatively, you can connect the SpeechMike Ambient to your computer via a USB-C cable, as long as the wireless adapter and the SpeechMike Ambient are both paired to the same computer.

  2. Download and install the latest version of SpeechControl (Philips Device Control Center) from https://www.dictation.philips.com/speechcontrol.

  3. Start Philips Device Control Center:

    • If the option to start the Philips Device Control Center automatically was selected during installation, open the program by clicking the speechcontrol_systray-icon.png icon in the notification area of the Windows task bar.

    • To manually start the program, open the Windows start menu in Windows and select Philips Speech Control > Philips Device Control Center.

    The current settings are automatically downloaded from the connected SpeechMike Ambient.

  4. Open the Device tab and choose Button configuration on the left. Select Event mode from the drop down menu, then click on the Uploadupload_settings_arrow.png button to upload the new settings to your SpeechMike Ambient.

Change the SpeechOne to Event mode
  1. Make sure to use the latest Firmware for your SpeechOne.

  2. Press the Phone button SpeechOne_phone_icon.png and the Do-not-disturb button SpeechOne_do-not-disturb_icon.png on the docking station simultaneously for three seconds.

    • The battery LEDs on the docking station start flashing.

  3. Press the Record button SpeechOne_record_icon.png on the docking station repeatedly until you have reached the Event mode.

    The Event mode is indicated as follows:

  4. To confirm your selection of the Event mode and exit mode selection, briefly press the Phone button SpeechOne_phone_icon.png and the Do-not-disturb button SpeechOne_do-not-disturb_icon.png on the docking station simultaneously.

  • You can always check your current button mode by briefly pressing the Phone button SpeechOne_phone_icon.png and the Do-not-disturb button SpeechOne_do-not-disturb_icon.png on the docking station simultaneously.

  • Your currently selected mode will be displayed immediately.
